I am the chairman of Saponi Descendants Association. I have been doing genealogical and historical research for 23 years. I began my research at the age of 15 when I was assigned a family tree project in my freshman English class.

Howdy, and Welcome! Very pleased you've come to the site, I've read your posts and io am in agreement with you about Chaunis Temoatan. I've read Millers work and she certainly does offer compelling evidence. Many think that the Tuscarora were the Mangoak, but I think Miller's explaination fits more clearly. Plus there are numerous evidences of later interactions that suggest a more cordial relationship between them and the Algonquian tribes. Anyway, pleased to meet you!
